All about Kiera!

I have been carrying around guilt that ever since Kiera was born I haven't made my blog a priority. I did so well for a long time keeping record of my family's life. So here is me playing catch-up.I will never have the time to record every little cute thing Kiera does, but what I can say is she is a complete angel and I am so lucky to be her mom. Her cheesy grin scrunches up her whole face and it is enough to just make your heart melt. She has the most gorgeous blue eyes and her dad finally got a blondie! She is beaming with self assurance, and I learn from her confidence. She has been the youngest of my children on all the milestones (crawling, walking, talking, potty training) I remember the day she just let go and walked from the couch to the coffee table in the middle of the room like it was something she had done a hundred times. She certainly knows how to fight for what she wants. She has learned the art of "bonking" things, mostly toys, on her brother's head when she is not getting her way. Chris was getting upset with her and I told him she does the same thing he used to do when he was little. He said, "Mom, she still has to learn how to be nice to ME!" He is a patient big bro most of the time. She calls him "Chi-Chi" and the nickname has just stuck! Kiera LOVES stroking and twisting hair. She will go to sleep doing it, or when I hold her she puts her arm around my neck and just strokes the back of my hair. When I am in the kitchen she comes over and just hugs my leg till I pick her up. She loves babies(her cousin nellie), the swings at the park, playing wih friends, reading books, her cousins, Grandma Garrett's house, and just recently she is becoming interested in princesses. She pushes the little baby stroller around like she is on a speed walk, for some reason she always seems to be in a hurry. I think it must be all the walks she has gone on with Grandma G, she has picked up her speediness! Kiera brings out the very best in all of us and I honestly don't know what I would do without her!

I have included a bunch of pictures of her over the past 2 years. I hope that life will slow down a bit for our family but I have a feeling it will be as busy as ever with 2 teenagers and Curtis waiting to get into dental school and moving to Georgia. Just be patient with me please!
