Fly-fishing in Montana- just a guy thing!

Here they are- The Montana Fly Boys! From top to bottom- Curtis, Ben Kohli (nephew), Dad Smith; Levi Smith (nephew), Kemp, and Arrison Smith (nephew). Curt's brother Jeff was taking the pic! That is quite a catch that Curt's Dad is holding up! They fished on the Clark Canyon Dam and on a river (name?). I love the picture of Kemp on the boat with his gorgeous rainbow (and huge smile!), is he a born fisherman or what? The picture at the bottom is where Curt said all the boy cousins and their Dads, along with Grandpa Smith, would come to Montana to fish It has been several years since they last went, glad to see them keeping the tradition alive!

They were gone for almost a whole week. Curtis and Kemp were beaming when they got back and said they had soo----o much fun! I can testify to all the fish they caught because it fed our family for about 4 days in a row! The trout were delicious and usually I am not a fan of trout. Curtis has always loved Montana, in fact he used to tell me that if he could swing his career so that we could live in Montana he would! Kerstyn, Cami and I missed the boys very much and there is no way the girls in this family could survive without them!

Weber County Fair

We decided to go to the Fair this year, because Lana gave us free tickets from her work. Curt and I weren't prepared because most of the rides and booths were cash only and we only had about $2 between us. We were so impressed that the kids didn't complain, they had a lot of fun at the livestock tent. We saw a chainsaw artist carve a bear from a log, fed goats and sheep, milked a cow, brushed an Ada (foreign breed of cow), and saw THE GIANT PIG for 50 cents. So we ended up being perfectly entertained for 2 hours and for a total of $2.00!

Kemp milking a cow. The woman who was showing the kids how to milk, was impressed that Kemp got right in there and did it himself, he got out a lot of milk. I wished I would of caught a picture of Kerstyn when she milked it, her expression was as if she was thinking, "I'm supposed to squeeze those?" Heelarious!
So here we have The Giant Pig! It was over 1,000 lbs. and no words can describe the stench in that pen, peeww!!
I was busting a gut when we came out from seeing the pig and Kemp says, "Well Mom, that was definately worth the 50 cents to see that pig", I love this boy of ours, so easy to please!
The picture doesn't even do justice on the size of that pig's face and snout!
Kerstyn and her daddy were the first ones to get in there to feed the goats. I was happy doing the picture taking!
Kemp loved the little babies, he got frustrated at the mom and dad goats trying to hog the food.
This baby lamb was such a newborn that it was still wobbly on its feet. We had fun watching it with its mama.
Just chillin with the sheep, and the girls brushing the Ada, it has very soft hair.
The bull's horns were HUMONGOUS! I was worried that one of the horns was going to get us in the back when it turned its head.

My Twilight obsession

I am blogging this because my husband will get a kick out of it! Curt has been teasing me since the day I read Twilight and stayed up all night to finish it. I went right out and bought the next 2 books in the series and read those within a few days. I bought Breaking Dawn the day it came out and every time I have been reading when Curt is around, he says "not that book again". I think it is funny how this time I have had to find little moments to read while the kids have been home for the summer. My family has been patient with me and my obsession, so this blog is for Curt- you are totally better than Edward , sweetie, and plus I really do get to be with you forever- top that Bella!

Rock Climbing at the Fat Cats fun zone in Ogden

Cami was a cruisin machine on the wall, she was determined to get to the top, and she did it.
Kemp has always been a safety first kind of a guy, so he was very careful to position his hands and feet in secure places, he did great!
Kerstyn -the little monkey- was satisfied to go up just a couple feet, go Kerstyn go!
It was a hot day and there were fountains, what else do you think we are gonna do?

Just having fun!

Curtis and Kemp at the Flowrider for Mike's 30th Birthday. What a fun idea, way to go Tai!
We got the lucky privilege of watching Isaak while everyone surfed. Kerstyn was obviously in heaven!
Cami getting in some practice for her own baby brother in a few months!
Look at Curt go, Surf's up dude!
Isaak was so much fun to take care of, I am so excited to do the baby thing again after 5 years!
This had to be put in here! Do you want to kiss those lips or what?
