Ballet-cont'd.

Cami's recital

Cami is such a natural with ballet. She is wanting to quit because it is getting more difficult, her feet get sore. I hope and pray she stays with it, we have so much fun watching her. All the girls take turns leaping across the stage and Cami by far has the best in her class. Curt mentions that she probably gets it from me, so what do I do? Yep, I ran across the stage and did a leap after the recital. I know I'm crazy but my kids love me for it! Curt got a pretty beautiful shot. Grandma Garrett was there, and Kerstyn did her own little ballet pose, cute! I love being a parent, it is such a blast. Curt gave Cami flowers and she is definately our little sweetheart!

Kemp's award

We are so impressed with Kemp in school. He amazes me with his knowledge, he just wants to soak everything up. Kemp earned an award for scoring in the top ten percent nationally for Reading/Comprehension. His teacher also recommended him for a gifted kids camp. She said only 3 kids were being picked from each grade, because it is for the whole district. I was a little shocked by that because Kemp is the class clown when I am volunteering (he says he is "showing off"). We just love this Skeetos of ours.

Cami's field trip

Cami had a field trip to a kids gym called The Peak. She has been wanting me to go all year, so I made sure I was there. We had such a blast! I think I had more fun than the kids. I have to brag, cause they had this blow-up twister game that was really diffciult to balance on so it made the game that much harder. I think the teachers sensed the inner kid in me because they were pressuring me to play. I finally gave in and to all of their surprise I whipped all the other kids in the game. I dare say Cami thought I was pretty cool at that moment. I paid for it when I got home and realized, Hello Kelly! you are pregnant- take it easy!

Cami's baptism

Cami was baptized the same day as Curtis' graduation. It was in the afternoon, and her cousin Cameron Garrett was baptized with her. We had been praying my Dad would make it, and Reid and my Mom helped him get dressed, and he was there. What a miracle that he lasted through the entire service! We were so happy to have family and friends there. What awesome families we have. The most exciting part of the day was when my older brother Reid drove his Jeep Commando right up over the lawn to the front entrance of the church to pick up our Dad. I think my dad was impressed at the front door service he received.

Smith family

Curt's parents also came. His brother Greg and his wife Dana, and their cute little son Kade came, but it was a zoo after the graduation and we lost each other. Thanks to everyone for making the effort, it meant a lot to Curtis and I.

Garrett Family

My sister-in-law Darci (Reid's wife) and her boys, Ethan and Austin came to Curt's graduation. Lesley and Isaac were also there. My parents are so proud of Curt and were feeling bummed to miss it. With my Dad being so much weaker nowadays it was too much. We are so thankful for family.

Curt's graduation- MBA degree

Wow! I can't say enough for my husband and his determination to finish his degree. There have been so many obstacles in graduating, but he has done it. You could say we were feeling the moment! It was a great day for the Smith family.

Yeah, new bikes for spring!

Kemp has-at long last- learned to ride a two wheeler, so he got a new bike. Cami was very sad and feeling left out. She has been riding for a few years now and growing out of her bike, so we gave in and bought one for her too! Curtis is getting a really nice road bike for his graduation present and I am getting one for Mother's Day. I guess you could say we are planning to save money with these insane gas prices, ha!

What is all that white stuff?

For all of you who don't experience much of a winter, here is what it's like in Utah. This is one of our last times shoveling, and let me tell you it was a work out! The kids absolutely loved it. Our neighbor is in the pic with the kids.
