A couple of days ago Kerstyn and I were running errands and I asked her if she wanted to be a singer when she grew up, because she was belting out a Taylor Swift song from the radio. She began to unfold her life plans. Here they are:
1. She is going to be a rock star.
2. Her "honey" (aka husband) will be a policeman.
3. They will have 2 dogs- a Chihuahua and a police dog (she thought maybe I didn't know what that is and told me it is a German Shepard).
4. She is going to have a black van and her husband will have a white one.
5. They will have a 2-year old girl named Rose.
Now for a 5-year old who rarely answers me when I ask her a question-she does the huh? thing all the time-it's like trying to talk to your hubby when he is watching t.v.; she sure shocked me with this one!

Tri-City Champs! 13-0, Go Mets!
Kemp's baseball team did so awesome this season. They were undefeated and beat the West Haven Rockies in the tri-city tournament (Roy, Clinton, and West Haven). The score was 3-2, and the game was a real nail-bitter. My niece Brittany came with us and is probably too embarassed to ever go to another sports game with me again. Yes, I am a psycho mom. When the pitcher struck out the last player, and the game was over all the boys ran and piled on the pitcher. Kemp was beaming after the game, his smile was from ear to ear.

We have a baby, where?
Here are some pictures of Christian from 7-8 months old. Life must be rolling along at a much faster pace, because this baby boy of ours is growing up over night! I wanted so much to record his growth every month but the summer is getting away from me. Here are some cute new things about our bubby-boy:
- He has learned how to do some yoga moves-he can do "plank", and "downward dog".
- He has an impressive vocabulary- ba,da,ma,ya,na.
- He has cut another tooth on the bottom and almost has his upper right front tooth.
- He would eat oatmeal with bananas and strawberry yogurt every day for every meal if he could.
- He loves to be outside on the grass watching the kids play.
- He is not afraid of splashing and getting all wet at the swimming pool, he put his face under the water and it hardly phased him (his mom freaked out a bit).
- This past Sunday at church he officially moved two crawling steps across the floor-Yea!

Happy 12th Anniversary! (Saturday, June 27)

I have loved every minute of the past 12 years! Curtis has been the perfect husband for me. We have had quite the adventure with a few struggles along the way, but we wouldn't trade any of it. We are so grateful for the children we have and for our families we share. We didn't feel like going away this year, since I was gone for a week; I just felt like being home. We went swimming and then Curtis and I went to see Transformers 2. If any of you are considering this movie-beware! I noticed quite a few people there with their children and I would have died if my kids were at that movie. I just don't understand why women are portrayed in such a sleezy manner these days! I am so glad I have a husband that treats me with respect and teaches Kemp to respect women as well. My girls are so forthright about modesty and treating their bodies like a temple. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes it so much easier to raise children and helps us to be more successful as parents. When I was a little girl I always thought to myself-"Will I really want to marry someone for eternity?" I think of that question and now I can't really imagine anything but eternity with my husband and children. Happy Anniversary-Loverboy!

summertime!
Wow! Summer has been crazy, I just got finished with being Girl's Camp Director, and my mom helped take care of the children, HUGE thanks to my awesome mother. Then I got back and my mom received the news that her oldest sister Jerry had passed away in her sleep. So she is in Minnesota this week and I am helping to take care of my dad while she is gone. Camp was so much fun, I felt like a young woman all over again. Those of you who read my blog and went to girl's camp with me as a youth-no I did not do all the same crazy things!

Mother's Day
I need to blog about several things before I forget them, but this especially. Our children made such awesome gifts for me this year. Kemp wrote a story about Super Mom (me), he mentioned that I love him most when he is not in trouble(ha). Cami made a craft with a cute little saying. Kerstyn had a card with her hands painted on and a cute poem. They told their Dad that he HAD to get me roses for Mother's Day-we already know I am not a fan-but the kids insisted that this day was important. Curtis helped them make homemade cards for me with feathers glued on- it was very original. Curt is one of the wisest gift givers ever! He always pays close attention to things I say I really want, but he knows I won't spend the money to buy. So when the time comes to buy me a gift I am always surprised that he remembers what I wanted. This mother's day I got a brand new set of pots and pans for my kitchen. I have said a couple of times that I need to replace some of my pans, so he goes and buys a whole new set! Thank you to my family for the hugs, kisses and gifts to make this mom feel pretty special! I also shared lunch the Saturday before with 2 very wonderful mothers-my mom and sister Lesley. We went to Moore's family restaurant, and had a wonderful time.

Christian's 1/2 Birthday (6 months)
Cami sang Happy 1/2 Birthday to Christian at her party. He is changing so much! He wants to taste test anything and everything. He loves to drink my ice water, it takes his breath away when it is really cold, but he always wants more! He is sitting all by himself. Right now he is enjoying screaming to be noticed. He is learning how to give kisses and leans his big slobbery lips right into mine-yum! Brother and sisters are forever finding ways to make him laugh or laugh at him. This age has got to be one of my favorites! Now if he would just sleep thru the night, Aahh!
Christian was being so giggly and talkative, so I get out the camera and this is what happens! I will never get any of the cute and exciting things he does cause of this fascination!
